For many people, myself included, gaming is a way to de-stress after a long day. Here are a few of my favorite games to play when I’m feeling stressed out or anxious!
1. The Sims 4
A timeless classic. Can you believe it has been almost twenty years since The Sims was first released? So many changes have been made in those twenty years, but what hasn’t changed is how the game has this amazing ability to suck me in and make me feel like I’m in a world of my creation for hours on end...because I am!
2. Stardew Valley
I’m a sucker for a farming simulator with a cute storyline. As a dedicated Harvest Moon fan, Stardew Valley certainly scratches that itch. Although I would highly recommend many of the earlier versions of Harvest Moon, the newer games leave much to be desired. Stardew Valley offers a great story, likable characters, just enough customization, and plenty of content to keep players entertained for quite a while.
3. Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles
This game was recommended to me by a friend and I will forever be in her debt for it. Yonder is the very definition of relaxation with an open world to explore, irresistible creatures, and a loose storyline you can take at your own pace. The best part? Nothing dies! Ever! Go ahead, jump off the ledge and watch your character slowly float back down with her umbrella.
