Ashen - "Like a home away from home"

Well well... looks like we have Dark Souls... Wait what?

Hey Folks! Ashen feels both startling, familiar and original. A 44 Action RPG wear the mask for Dark Souls proudly! Art identity delivering nearly identical mechanics and progression system is just great and works very well. This amazing game has similar properties as Dark souls but Ashen might be better?

You heard me... I said it! Although I love Dark Souls, Ashen is just fresh, smooth and the art in gameplay is to die for! Not to mention you can play co-op online or offline - and even play with AI... If you're into that sorta thing. Of course, in this game there comes many and i mean MANY deaths. I learned this first hand while i got the crap kicked out of me. It was brutal, but so worth it. STORY TIME So the main point in the story is Light vs. Darkness. Super cliché i know, but it is woven into the story plot. The Ashen’s rebirth has to restore light to the ash covered plains in the dark world. You must protect the Ashen at all costs if there is any hope for the new light to survive. Including 5 massive boss fights that will crush you with their foot... literally.

here we have co-op and death about to happen

Things to know about Ashen! 1. You can fully customize your character. If you want them to be bald with a mustache, it shall be done. 2. While getting all the upgrades and items plus lore of the story, you're gonna want to complete all side quest before completing the main storyline.

3. DON'T DROP ITEMS. Make sure to store items when you can, otherwise they're gone for good. 4. Don't buy healing items - they're super pricey. Just go into the wild and kill monsters and explore the map. 5. Buy talismans - they are super important and make gameplay much better. 6. Store Skoria (dark soul term: *souls*). Saving and putting Skoria in your storage will be a big help. Especially when you know you're gonna die and you don't want to lose your Skoria.

My rating for Ashen is 8.7/10
